How we ranked these apps
Every app gets the same score, and one of its six parts covers age checks and content rules. That part looks at how the app confirms you’re 18 or older and what its rules ban, as each app’s own pages and my test account show it. The full scale is in the scoring method.
Apps with a score of 7.0 or more come first, in the order of their scores, and the rest follow alphabetically. Whether a company pays us a commission or nothing at all doesn’t move a single row.
1. GirlfriendGPT
GirlfriendGPT keeps 18+ content off until you ask for it. A new account starts on SFW, and switching brings a “Confirm your age” window with “Go back” and “I’m over 18.”
Sign-up asked for a ticked “I confirm that I am 18 years old or older” box after the email code, in a session from Tanzania on 10/17/2026. From a US connection on 10/14/2026, the site showed no age window before sign-up.
The checkout said the charge appears as “NDAI.CHAT.” Deleting the account takes up to 30 days, and you can restore it through Discord in that time. Each chat opens with a note that it’s “AI-driven, fictional roleplay.”
2. Lovescape
Lovescape asks you to confirm your age when you create the account. Its sign-up window says, “By entering and using this website, you confirm you’re over 18 years old and agree to the Terms of Use.”
Premium lists “NSFW mode” among its features, so 18+ content sits behind a paid plan. In some regions, such as the UK, Lovescape adds stronger checks, from an ID to a video selfie, per its own pages.
A site-wide notice says the conversations are AI-generated and the characters fictional. Lovescape promises a “neutral” statement name without saying what it is. I haven’t been able to test the chat yet.
3. Secrets AI
Secrets AI opens with an age window before anything else. On a phone on 10/16/2026, it read “You must be at least 18 years old to use Secrets,” with “Yes, I am 18+” and “No, I am not.”
Its Terms describe a service for a territory that excludes places where the content is illegal or “subject to age verification measures.” I couldn’t check from a US connection whether the site blocks those places.
The statement name is “S LABS INC,” per its FAQ. Deleting the account removes your profile and chat history right away, and the Privacy Policy lists model training among the uses of your data, with no opt-out.
4. Nectar AI
Nectar AI opens with an “Adults Only” window and two buttons, “I’m over 18” and “Leave site.” After that click, my new account on 10/16/2026 had “Allow NSFW” switched on, and the switch sits under Preferences.
The checkout named the charge “Nectar Vixen AI,” close to the app’s name. Account deletion sits in Settings, with a warning that it can’t be undone.
Its moderation stays on with 18+ switched on: the Terms say the company uses “both automated filters and human review.” I saw no “you’re talking to an AI” label in the chat.
5. Swipey AI
Swipey AI opens with a window headed “Swipey Contains Adult AI Content” and two buttons, “I’m 18+ — Show Me the Magic” and “I’m under 18 — Take Me Out.” Its settings had no 18+ switch at all.
The statement name changes by page. The pricing page promises a neutral merchant name, the help center says “SWIPEY.AI or INVAI LTD,” and the payment page said “Swipey AI.”
Deleting the profile is permanent, and the same email can’t sign up again for 48 hours. The newsletter box in my new account’s settings was already ticked.
What “adult” means on these apps
On these apps, “adult” means 18+ chat and media behind an age step, with rules on what you can’t make. The age step is self-declared everywhere I looked: a click, a tick box, or a statement at sign-up.
Every one of the five bans sexual content involving minors in its rules. Nectar AI, Swipey AI, Lovescape, and Secrets AI also ban content showing real people without consent, and GirlfriendGPT bans explicit images of real people. None of these sites has an app in the App Store or Google Play, so they all run in the browser.

Can you delete your chats from these apps?
Yes, though the scope differs. Nectar AI’s account deletion in Settings warns that it can’t be undone. GirlfriendGPT deletes an account within 30 days and lets you restore it through Discord in that time. Swipey AI blocks your email from signing up again for 48 hours, and Secrets AI says deletion removes your chat history right away.
