GirlfriendGPT is a browser-based AI companion site: you chat with characters from a large library, generate images, and pay with plans and coins for more messages and media. Each character card carries a content rating.

The company is NextDay AI Incorporated in Montreal, Quebec, and the checkout also names US and EU companies of the same group. The site runs as a web app, with its own Android download, outside the app stores.

GirlfriendGPT got an Excellent grade: at message 5, the character answered “You told me your name is Jordan. And you mentioned you live in Denver,” in character. The script gives a name and a city in the first two messages and asks for both at message 5.

Replies took about 30 seconds each, and each had a play button for a voice reading. Before the first message, a window offered chat length, tone, and language settings, but saving them needed a subscription.

On the free plan, you start a chat from a library of characters made by other users, each with a content rating. For the test, I picked a PG-13 character set in a café. The plan window lists custom characters under Premium, while the Terms give free users 2 or 3 characters.

The 30 free coins paid for two images: my safe prompt for a café portrait returned two pictures of clothed adults, and the generator charged 20 coins. The generator starts with Safe Mode on.
