Key takeaways
- Top score: GirlfriendGPT, 8.5/10.
- Memory: in my five-message script, all three characters gave back both test facts without dropping their roles.
- The longest free run: Nectar AI’s, which stopped at message 17 on 10/16/2026.
- “Uncensored” still has rules: every app here bans some content in its Terms.
- Janitor AI, SpicyChat, and CrushOn AI aren’t scored here. Our alternatives pages cover where their users go.
Quick comparison
The table compares the chat itself: how far the free account goes, how the memory test went, and how 18+ content is switched on.
| App | Score | Free chat | Memory test | 18+ mode | Statement name | Checked | Link |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. GirlfriendGPT | 8.5/10 | Limit window at message 11, after 10 replies | Gave back both test facts at message 5 | Starts off, age window before switching | NDAI.CHAT, per its checkout | 10/17/2026 | |
| 2. Nectar AI | 7.2/10 | Limit window at message 17, after 15 replies | Gave back both test facts at message 5 | “Allow NSFW” switch, on for a new account | Nectar Vixen AI, per its checkout | 10/16/2026 | |
| 3. Swipey AI | 7.1/10 | 20 Hearts at 2 per message, so 10 replies | Gave back both test facts at message 5 | None: settings have no switch | “Swipey AI,” per its payment page | 10/17/2026 |
Refunds, cancellation, and data rules for all three are in the Fine Print Index.
How we ranked these apps
The heaviest part of every score is chat quality and memory. I give each app the same five-message script: a test name, a city, a few neutral questions, then a request to recall the name and city. The other five parts cover price, characters, media, billing, and age checks, as set out in the scoring rules behind this list.
The order follows the final score: apps at 7.0 or above appear first, highest on top, and anything below 7.0 would follow in alphabetical order. A commission, or the lack of one, has no effect on where an app lands.
1. GirlfriendGPT
GirlfriendGPT’s character passed the memory test word for word: “You told me your name is Jordan. And you mentioned you live in Denver.” That came on 10/17/2026, with 18+ content still switched off.
18+ content starts off, and switching it on brings a “Confirm your age” window. The chat-style options, such as reply length and point of view, need a subscription.
The free account answered 10 messages, and message 11 brought “You ran out of messages.” Each chat opens with a note that it’s “AI-driven, fictional roleplay.”
2. Nectar AI
Nectar AI pairs a strong memory test with tools to steer the chat. On 10/16/2026, at message 5, its character gave back my test name and city in role. Under each reply sit a regenerate button and a star rating, and you can edit your own messages.
The free chat answered 15 messages, and message 17 brought a “Message Limit Reached” window. Its moderation stays active with 18+ switched off. Once, an “Unsafe Message Detected” window replaced a reply after the character’s own storyline took a turn.
The character also sent short voice messages on the free plan. Its FAQ says your chats aren’t used to train external AI models.
3. Swipey AI
Swipey AI answered the memory question with one of its own: “You are Jordan and you live in Denver, right?” Its settings had no 18+ switch to turn on or off.
The free chat runs on Hearts: 20 at sign-up, 2 per message, so message 11 brought a paywall on 10/17/2026. The chat opens with a line promising that “Nobody will ever see it.” Its Terms still describe a filter and human review of flagged content.
I saw no note in the chat that you’re talking to an AI.
Apps we left out (and why)
Some of the best-known chat sites aren’t scored here. For Janitor AI, see where Janitor AI users go instead. For SpicyChat, see where SpicyChat users go instead. For CrushOn AI, see where CrushOn AI users go instead.
A few apps are left out for good, with the reason and a dated source, on the apps we left out.
How to choose an uncensored AI chat
Choose by how long the free chat runs, whether the app remembers what you told it, and what it does with your messages. Then read the rules, because none of these apps is without them.
- Memory and length: which apps keep the conversation going.
- Message caps: apps that don’t cap your messages.
- Adults-only chat sites: AI chat apps for adults 18+.
- Explicit chat: AI sexting sites we compared.
What we checked
- Test accounts: Nectar AI (10/16/2026), GirlfriendGPT and Swipey AI (10/17/2026), from a session in Tanzania: the memory test and messages counted to the limit.
- Plan pages, Terms, and Privacy Policies of all three read 10/14/2026 to 10/17/2026.
- Not checked: any paid month, and memory across separate days.
FAQ
What is the best uncensored AI chat?
GirlfriendGPT has the top score of the three so far, 8.5/10, as of 10/17/2026. All three passed my memory test on 10/16/2026 or 10/17/2026, giving back a test name and city at message 5 without dropping their roles. The order follows the final score, highest first.
Is there a free uncensored AI chat?
Every app here has a free tier, and none of them goes far. Nectar AI’s free account answered 15 messages before a limit at message 17 on 10/16/2026. GirlfriendGPT and Swipey AI each answered 10 on 10/17/2026, and Swipey AI counts them in Hearts, 2 per message.
Do uncensored AI chats still have content rules?
Yes. Every app here bans some content in its Terms, whatever its marketing says, and the bans are listed in each review’s section on what the app allows. Nectar AI and Swipey AI also describe human review of flagged chats. Every review links to its app’s own rules.
Is uncensored AI chat private?
Not fully, by the apps’ own documents. Nectar AI’s FAQ says chats don’t train external models, but its Terms mention human review. Swipey AI tells you “Nobody will ever see it,” while its Terms allow moderation of what you send. GirlfriendGPT’s Privacy Policy doesn’t say whether chats train its models.
What shows on your bank statement?
A variant of the app’s name, or a different name. Nectar AI’s checkout named “Nectar Vixen AI,” and GirlfriendGPT’s named “NDAI.CHAT.” Swipey AI’s payment page said “Swipey AI,” though its pricing page promises a neutral name. All three checkouts were opened from Tanzania.
