Swipey AI free: what you can do without paying
Reviewed · Updated
Quick answer
Yes, it has a real free plan, paid in Hearts: my account got 20, each message cost 2, and the 11th message hit the paywall (10/17/2026). Sign-up asked for no card. At checkout, plans ran from $71.99/yr to $14.99/mo. It suits a short test. See where Swipey AI sits in our AI girlfriend ranking.

Is Swipey AI free? The full answer
Yes: Swipey AI has a permanent free tier, and it runs on “Hearts,” not on a message count. A new account gets 20 Hearts, and each message costs 2, so the free tier covers 10 replies.
My test account matched that on 10/17/2026: the balance read 10 after five messages and 0 after ten. The free tier isn’t a trial, and I saw no trial of Premium. Everything else I found: our full Swipey AI review.
What the free plan includes (and what it doesn’t)
The free plan covers a short chat and the character creator, while unlimited messages and media need Hearts or a plan. All 20 free Hearts went on messages in my test, so I couldn’t try an image or a video.
| Feature | Free | Paid |
|---|---|---|
| Messages | 10, at 2 Hearts each | “Unlimited Chat Messages” |
| Hearts | 20 at sign-up | 200 or 300 bonus Hearts with a plan |
| Character creator | Open | Open |
| Images and video | Not tried (the Hearts went on messages) | 200 tokens a month |
| Card at sign-up | Not asked | Needed at checkout |
Where the free part ends
The free part ends at your 11th message: it gets no reply, and a paywall opens over the chat. The window says “Unlock Unlimited Chat Messages” and lists plans priced per day.
What it costs after the free plan
At checkout on 10/17/2026, Premium cost $14.99 for 1 month, $35.99 for 3 months, or $71.99 for 12 months, and each payment page said the plan renews at the same amount. There was no tax line.
Prices checked 10/17/2026 on Swipey AI’s site. Plus tax where applicable.
That session ran from Tanzania, and a US checkout wasn’t seen. From a US network on 10/15/2026, the pricing page showed $7.99/mo, which was the 12-month plan billed $95.99.
Is there a free trial or a discount?
On 10/17/2026 I couldn’t find a public free trial for Swipey AI, but there was a discount banner. The header showed “Subscribe 85% OFF” with a countdown that started over, and the 1-month payment page called its price 50% off.
The pricing page also promises that your bank statement shows a neutral merchant name, while the payment page names the charge as “Swipey AI.”
Can you use Swipey AI without signing up?
Only for browsing: the site opens after the age gate, but chatting started after I signed up (10/17/2026). Apps that let you chat first are listed under which AI girlfriend apps work with no sign-up.
How to sign up for free
Signing up took four steps on 10/17/2026, with no card or phone number:
- Click “I’m 18+” in the window that opens on the first visit.
- Choose “Join Free,” then enter an email, or use Google, Discord, or Twitter.
- Type the five-digit code from Swipey AI’s email.
- Pick a character or build one with “Create AI.”
In Settings, the newsletter box was already ticked in my new account, so untick it if you don’t want the emails.

Three other apps give more or different free use, by my runs and their own pages (10/15/2026 to 10/17/2026). More apps with a free tier: the free AI girlfriend apps we ranked.
- Secrets AI: 20 free messages a day, per its wiki, without images or video.

What we checked
- A free test account opened on 10/17/2026: 20 Hearts at sign-up, 2 per message, and a paywall at the 11th message.
- The 1-, 3-, and 12-month checkouts, opened from Tanzania up to the payment page, with the card fields left empty.
- Not checked on the free side: images and video, because the free Hearts went on messages, and a checkout from a US network.
FAQ
Does Swipey AI have a free trial?
No, I saw no free trial of Premium on 10/17/2026. Swipey AI has a free tier instead: new accounts get 20 Hearts, and each message costs 2 of them. The paywall that follows offers paid plans, with an “85% OFF” banner and a countdown that restarts.
Do you need a credit card for Swipey AI’s free plan?
No. On 10/17/2026, sign-up asked for an email and a five-digit code sent to it, with Google, Discord, and Twitter as alternatives. There was no card field, no phone number, and no captcha. A card comes up only at the payment page for a plan.
How many free messages does Swipey AI give you?
Ten. My free account started with 20 Hearts on 10/17/2026, and each message took 2: the balance read 10 after five messages and 0 after ten. The 11th message got no reply and opened the paywall instead. The pricing page says Premium “also comes with free daily hearts,” and my free balance didn’t refill during the session.
What happens when Swipey AI’s free messages run out?
A paywall opens over the chat with the line “Unlock Unlimited Chat Messages” and plans priced per day. Your 11th message stays unanswered. You can buy Hearts or a subscription, and the plans add bonus Hearts and 200 tokens a month, per that window (10/17/2026).
How much does Swipey AI cost after the free plan?
In my test account on 10/17/2026, checkout showed $14.99 for 1 month, $35.99 for 3 months, or $71.99 for 12 months, each renewing at the same amount. That session ran from Tanzania. From a US network on 10/15/2026, the pricing page showed the 12-month plan as $7.99/mo, billed $95.99.
